Arbre de Matisse

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

How amazing does Tory Burch’s breakfast room look decorated completely in China Sea’s Arbre de Matisse. Despite the excessive use of the beautiful fabric, she has made it work and has created a really fun room! I would love to sit there everyday for breakfast.

The same room was then transformed into a lounge for Tina Barney’s photo shoot of Tory’s Spring 2010 collection. I love how everything blends together and the only thing that allows you to distinguish what’s what is the brush fringe on the pillows!

The Arbre de Matisse print, inspired by Matisse’s work, is one of Quadrille’s most popular fabrics. Below are some pictures of how other designers have used it.

Mary McDonald and Quadrille

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

In this month’s House Beautiful magazine Quadrille’s new Kazak fabric is featured again in the whimsical yet sophisticated tent design by LA based interior designer Mary McDonald. McDonald uses scores of bold colour, pattern and texture in her design (including fabrics Saya Gata and Meloire Reverse by Alan Campbell through Quadrille) while maintaining balance across the room.

All fabrics available through Diane Bergeron Interiors.

We’re really excited to have the new range from Quadrille in our Melbourne showroom.
The stunning Kazak design, seen here in orange, would make any room feel more vibrant.

The entrance to my showroom is adorned by another new line from Quadrille which we’re equally excited about having, the Palampore Stripe (hanging).

Another Day at The Office

Lulu de Kwiatkowski has been a source of inspiration for me through both her beautiful book of collages (LULU from Ammo Books), and my use of her fabrics in my decorating. Now it is possible to get a little dose of Lulu’s style everyday, through her blog: Trail of Inspiration.

Thank You Australian House & Garden

Monday, March 15th, 2010

We are so thrilled to be in this month’s issue, with the launch of this new fabric at DB Home. This madras patchwork embodies New England classic style. You may recognize this fabric from our earlier blog about the Obama family’s Martha’s Vineyard holiday house.
