AMERICAN TRIP (Part 2)

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

In New York I stayed with my friend Michelle Adams. She is flat out busy with Lonny magazine, yet still had time to be the perfect hostess. Her apartment is amazing, as you would expect. Every little detail perfection.

Even with a full schedules… Girls still have to eat. We were sad to not get to an old favorite haunt Bobo’s in the West Village.

But we are happy to add a few new favorites to the list.

We had an amazing meal with our friend Anna Davidson who was also in town at my friend Giorgio’s new restaurant Giorgione in Soho.  As with Dean & Deluca it has that great timeless sensibility and amazing food. Giorgione is featured in Taschen’s New York!

Lonny Online Magazine

Lonny Online Magazine

The latest issue of Lonny is all about eco-chic, and features the devastatingly stylish apartment of Michelle Adams herself. In early May I’ll be travelling to New York, and I’ll be lucky enough to have a chance to stay at Michelle’s apartment and see the place first hand. As if I needed any more incentive to visit one of my favourite cities.

INDISCREET

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

I have just watched one of my favorite old movies for inspiration for a new project I am about to begin. If you haven’t seen INDISCREET you should.
The interiors are to die for and Ingrid Bergman’s wardrobe is fabulous!

We invite you to envy with us this to-die-for abode of MAC Cosmetics’ kingpin, John Demsey. There’s no holding back; every palette’s got punch, but it calms in that classic reassuring way. I love how he’s got what a lot have (acrylic table, white figurine, mono photos, a statement light piece…) but makes the space his own with fearless wall colour and another quirky fair find for good measure. Place Madeline Weinrib Ikat curtains and rug in the mix and the boldness melts… it’s the the ying that the yang is craving.  elle-decor-oct-madeline-weinrib21

Even the assertive black and white rooms with the celeb photos everywhere, somehow want you to stay and sit awhile.

And who would see that dreamy starlight rug that would look right at home in any 80’s tween bedroom, and know to match it with that? Jealous.
