The Design Files Interview

I owe a big thank you to Lucy over at the The Design Files for interviewing me. It’s always great to see that my work is appreciated here in Australia.

Due to the success of our interior design firm we have moved into a bigger work space, installed a fancy new project management software, and expanded our team. We are so excited about this growth and all the amazing new projects that we have scheduled for the year.

With so much work for clients in the city and beyond, we’ve decided that it’s no longer possible to continue selling fabrics, wallpaper, and rugs to the trade.  Diane will still continue to advocate and use fine American  products for her own interior design clients.

So role on 2011, it is going to be a great one!

The past few months have been a blur.
I was totally unprepared for all the work to come my way… It’s been fantastic, and now that I’ve got my systems in place and some desperately needed help I’m back on track.

We all know the idea of house guests can turn some people into masters or others into messes so we were thrilled to receive this link to a brand new web site. Chatelaine at Play is the source for all your advice regarding having house guests – what a brilliant idea for the savvy and the not so! It promises to keep us informed in all areas of entertaining and hostessing so make sure you read up on all the tips and soon you will find having a house full is a breeze! Fantastic idea girls and we are looking forward to those weekly updates!

Whoops! It looks as though someone has already had the great idea of naming their blog ‘style files’. So sorry Danielle de Lange but it seems that great minds think alike! You will be pleased (relieved!) to know that we have changed our name again to The DB Files so we now no longer clash. We were thrilled to notice (whilst we were on your site) that you have a picture of the beautiful ikat chairs in our showroom! The chairs are ones we had restored and covered in Madeline Weinrib’s Luce fabric. Don’t they look amazing…? What a small world we bloggers live in. Thank you so much for showing this great image and for the link – we really appreciate it!

You have no idea how much this means to me!

I have been so busy getting ready for the D&D trade show and for our cocktail launch party with special guest Michelle Adams of Rubie Green, that my blog has really taken a back seat…
