We are so thrilled that today’s post delivered Architectural Digest’s February 2011 edition…ahh, what a feeling! I am so grateful to have made the cover of this extraordinary internationally recognised magazine, and wanted to share my work with you. Many thanks to everyone that has made this possible. A New Year!

This year has started with a bang and an exciting cover on German Architectural Digest magazine!

Due to the success of our interior design firm we have moved into a bigger work space, installed a fancy new project management software, and expanded our team. We are so excited about this growth and all the amazing new projects that we have scheduled for the year.

With so much work for clients in the city and beyond, we’ve decided that it’s no longer possible to continue selling fabrics, wallpaper, and rugs to the trade. Diane will still continue to advocate and use fine American products for her own interior design clients.

So role on 2011, it is going to be a great one!

This month’s Belle magazine is on the shelves and our very own China Seas is featured on page 68 and Les Indiennes is featured on page 69. It is a beautiful spread on a range of fabulous fabrics from tribal prints to French provincial.

The China Seas range includes geometrics, floral, and Chinoiserie patterns that are continuously used by top American Interior Designers. The colours and patterns are timeless, making them perfect for either classic or modern interiors. They are hand screened on a linen/cotton ground. China Seas designs are also available in wallpaper.

Les Indiennes fabrics are a modern interpretation of traditional Indian motifs designed by Mary Mulcahy. The fabrics are made in India using the traditional Kalamkari process, which does not cause pollution and provides fair trade for over 50 families in the Indian village where there are made. The patterns are printed on organically grown cotton using natural dyes. The results are soft, beautiful and timeless. Quilts, cushions and bed linen is also available in coordinating patterns.

We love this month magazine with the bright yellow and white awning featured on the front, very Hamptons indeed. Skip to page 76 and low and behold there is my Hamptons outfit waiting for me. Thank you Belle for loving our lines and for producing such a fun read month after month.

Arbre de Matisse

How amazing does Tory Burch’s breakfast room look decorated completely in China Sea’s Arbre de Matisse. Despite the excessive use of the beautiful fabric, she has made it work and has created a really fun room! I would love to sit there everyday for breakfast.

The same room was then transformed into a lounge for Tina Barney’s photo shoot of Tory’s Spring 2010 collection. I love how everything blends together and the only thing that allows you to distinguish what’s what is the brush fringe on the pillows!

The Arbre de Matisse print, inspired by Matisse’s work, is one of Quadrille’s most popular fabrics. Below are some pictures of how other designers have used it.

China Seas on the Sofa

Anna has posted Rita Konig’s sofa redo. Rita has used China Seas Ziggurat to give her old sofa a fresh new look. I love a patterned sofa.
So true how reupholstering an existing piece can give a room such character.
