Rainy weekend

It poured down with rain all weekend here in Melbourne, and despite the fact that we’re meant to be having beautiful summer sunshine, it’s sometimes nice to cosy up indoors and just enjoy some time relaxing.

Elizabeth Bailey’s bedroom designed for Traditional Home’s Hampton Designer Showhouse last year would have been the perfect place to spend a lazy day at home.

Sorry for the lack of posts. The past few months have been a blur.
I was totally unprepared for all the work to come my way… It’s been fantastic, and now that I’ve got my systems in place and some desperately needed help I’m back on track.
The New Year will be filled with lots of exciting things for DBI. One project is the DB Home range and on-line store. Soon to be completed and up and running. Please join our newsletter, twitter or subscribe to our blog for all the details.

A Rose by any other name….

Melbourne is full of fantastic shops and not all of them can be found in the centre of town. We love Rose Street in Armadale with its delicious coffee (if you pull up close enough to Treat’s window you can order your cappuccino without getting out of the car…….!)and stylish shops and restaurants. Rose Street Trading Company is at the centre of all this activity, with two shops. One has beautiful clothes and accessories and the other houses an amazing array of gifts, lamps, books, jewellery and all things stylish. Either way, which ever shop you go into you will have a wonderful retail experience. They also offer a complete interior design service – definitely a one stop shop. We stopped by today and took a few photos to temp you.

Rita’s Apartment

I love Rita’s Bank Street apartment (as seen in October Domino). I like the way she mixes vintage furnishings and art with the hip LOVE poster. The sofa is fabulous and that Madeline Weinrib pillow is one of my favorites!
