Of the Young and the Restless (Y&R) is a textile design studio committed to invigorating interiors with unique, vibrant hand printed fabrics. Formed at a moment in time when its founders were both young and restless, the studio recognizes that some of their strongest assets have been culled from their southern backgrounds - an appreciation for melodrama and a healthy sense of humor.
Of the Young and the Restless draw upon the phantasmagorical grandeur of the American South. This influence lends the fabrics to embody a playful amalgam of realism (images painted from nature) and the fantastic (over-scaled patterns of saturated feverish color). Y&R is especially proud that each design begins with hand-painted imagery and that all fabrics are hand-printed on fine linen and cotton in the US.
